Controversial YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul (11-1, 7 KOs) has responded to Canelo Alvarez (62-2-2, 39 KOs) after the undisputed super middleweight champion dismissed any possibility of facing him in the ring.
Taking to social media, Paul posted what he claims is a signed fight contract featuring both his and Canelo’s signatures, alongside a promotional fight poster.
"Oh, Canelo, you’re a b****. Time to expose this guy. We had a signed fight contract—look (shows the document), you can see Canelo’s signature right there next to mine.
He says he doesn’t fight YouTubers? That’s bulls*. Look at this poster (shows a fight promo), which we were supposed to announce on Tuesday, February 11.**
He claims to only fight 'real' fighters, yet he’s facing Terence Crawford, who fought at lightweight, while running from a real fighter like David Benavidez. You’re a coward.
The truth is, you can be bought. You’re a greedy little squirrel chasing another nut. Those shady guys are paying you hundreds of millions just to stop this fight from happening because they know they can’t put together a fight bigger than mine and yours.
Al Haymon made you hundreds of millions, and you turned your back on him for a paycheck. No loyalty. You begged for this fight to be on PPV, but I stayed loyal to Netflix because they bring the biggest numbers.
You call me a YouTuber, but you’ve never had a fight as big as mine. Remember when you told my team that your daughter came home and asked if you were fighting Jake Paul? She was so excited. You said it was the first time your daughter ever cared about one of your fights.
But you’re betraying your Mexican fans by fighting in Saudi Arabia. That says everything about who you really are. And let me make one promise, Canelo: My fight this year will be bigger than any of yours.
So go run to your boss. You’re a Ring Magazine employee, you pink-orange b****. Oh, and fix that herpes on your lip, dirty boy.", said Jake.
Meanwhile, former heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz has once again offered to replace Canelo and face Paul instead.
Canelo, who recently signed a four-fight deal with Riyadh Season, officially ruled out a clash with Jake Paul. His upcoming fights include:
May: vs. Jermall Charlo or Bruno Surace
September: vs. Terence Crawford
February 2026: vs. Dmitry Bivol, Hamzah Sheeraz, or Chris Eubank Jr.
October 2026: A headline bout in Riyadh against an unnamed opponent.
In November, Jake Paul defeated boxing legend Mike Tyson by unanimous decision.
