WBA, WBC, and WBO super middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (62-2-2, 39 KOs) has hit back at Jake Paul (11-1, 7 KOs) after the YouTuber-turned-boxer accused him of dodging a fight.
"Hey, people, don’t pay attention to that f**** YouTuber. I only fight real fighters. Don’t mess with Canelo", said Canelo.
Canelo’s response comes as Paul continues to call him out following Alvarez’s signing of a four-fight deal with Riyadh Season, which officially ruled out a bout between them.
Meanwhile, former heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz has stepped in, offering to fight Jake Paul in Canelo’s place.
Per his new contract, Canelo is set for four major fights:
May: vs. Jermall Charlo or Bruno Surace
September: vs. Terence Crawford
February 2026: vs. Dmitry Bivol, Hamzah Sheeraz, or Chris Eubank Jr.
October 2026: A main event in Riyadh against an unnamed opponent
In November, Jake Paul scored a unanimous decision win over boxing legend Mike Tyson.
