Usyk vs. Fury: Official Judges Confirmed

On May 18th in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the fight for the undisputed heavyweight world championship (over 90.7 kg) between the holder of the WBA, WBO, IBF, and IBO titles, Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs), and the WBC champion, Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs), will take place.

The names of the officials presiding over the fight have been announced.

The referee will be Mark Nelson from Minnesota, USA. This will be his 990th fight, with more than 100 of them being world championship bouts.

The judges will be Manuel Oliver Palermo (Spain), Craig Metcalf (Canada), and Mike Fitzgerald (USA).

Metcalf has previously officiated a Usyk fight — during the bout between Usyk and Mairis Briedis, where he scored it a draw (114-114). In that fight, Usyk won by majority decision.
