Sergey Lapin, director of WBO/WBA/IBF/IBO world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk's team, encrypted an interesting link for WBC titleholder Tyson Fury.
The other day, Sergey gave an exclusive interview to British tabloids, in a conversation with journalist Liam Solomon, he said:
“As it stands, the great Tyson Fury, the seven feet tall giant who tells the world he avoids no man, seems to be doing everything he can do to avoid an undisputed clash with Oleksandr Usyk.”
“He calls Oleksandr a rabbit and a middleweight, and yet Alex is here ready and willing to prove he’s the best heavyweight in the world. Meanwhile, Fury seems to have lost his courage and lost his pen.”
When translated into other languages, the phrase "lost his pen" fails to capture its true essence. However, within British society, the meaning is fully understood. It's worth noting that the British media has avidly seized upon this quote, as it was delivered with a sharp and bold tone. "Lost his pen" is a clear reference to cowardice, and as such, Oleksandr's team is urging Fury to sign the contract.
In this statement, Sergey made a reference to the white feather - “a widely recognised propaganda symbol. It has, among other things, represented cowardice or conscientious pacifism" - added Lapin quoting Wikipedia.
