Oscar on Turki and White’s Partnership: "I Felt Slightly Offended"

Golden Boy Promotions CEO Oscar De La Hoya shared his thoughts on the partnership between Turki Alalshikh and UFC President Dana White, who recently launched the TKO boxing promotion.

"I heard that he 'handed the ring of boxing over to Dana White.' Well, that comment… I felt slightly offended.

I’ve been in boxing my entire life. I’ve been a promoter for over 20 years. What I’m going to do is stay in my lane and keep doing what I do with Golden Boy alongside DAZN—bringing fans the best fights possible. That’s what we’ve been doing for years.

Working with Turki Alalshikh and Riyadh Season? Yes, it’s an honor. But I have my own business, and I run it well. Nobody is going to interfere with that.

Because we create champions, we build superstars—just like we did with Canelo Alvarez and Ryan Garcia," De La Hoya stated.

Previously, Eddie Hearn also weighed in on the Turki-White partnership, and WBC President Mauricio Sulaimán shared his thoughts on the new promotion.

Notably, Alalshikh recently made waves with his comment about the upcoming boxing event at Alcatraz: "Maybe we’ll leave a few promoters there."
