Hearn on Dubois vs. Chisora: "Stylistically Not the Best Fight"

Matchroom Boxing head Eddie Hearn has shared his thoughts on the potential heavyweight title fight between 41-year-old veteran Derek Chisora (36-13, 23 KOs) and IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois (22-2, 21 KOs).

"Chisora has already fought for the title twice, hasn’t he?

Daniel Dubois — it’s not the best fight for him. It’s not the fight I want to see, but it’s his career. If he’s earned it and has been ordered to take it, that’s not his fault.

It’s about styles. Throughout Derek’s career, there have been opponents who were stylistically good for him — and others who posed problems. Dubois is one of those who doesn’t suit him. But Chisora is a true legend," Hearn told iFL TV.

The IBF is expected to order Dubois to make a mandatory defense against Chisora on April 22.

However, a unification fight between Dubois and Oleksandr Usyk will take priority over this bout if negotiations move forward.
