Matchroom Boxing head Eddie Hearn shared his thoughts on the most talented boxer he has worked with.
“We only recently signed him, but I’d say Shakur Stevenson. I think he’s incredible.
We also have other great pound-for-pound fighters— Jaron Ennis and Jesse Rodriguez. Talent-wise, it might be ‘Boots,’ but I’ll give the edge to Shakur Stevenson,” Hearn said.
Stevenson (22-0, 10 KOs) was previously signed with Bob Arum’s Top Rank, but after his fight with Artem Harutyunyan (12-2, 7 KOs) in July, Shakur declined to extend his contract and joined Matchroom. Arum recently commented on the loss of his star client.
Stevenson was scheduled to face Joe Cordina (17-1, 9 KOs) on October 12, but the fight was canceled due to an injury sustained by the American.
