Matchroom Boxing’s head Eddie Hearn, who represents Uzbekistan’s Murodjon Akhmadaliev (12-1, 9 KOs), has stated that the boxer from Uzbekistan is the last challenge left for Japan’s undisputed world champion Naoya Inoue (28-0, 25 KOs) in the super bantamweight division (up to 55.3 kg).
“The only fight left for Inoue at super bantamweight, and it’s a real fight! WBA has ordered the fight… it’s time!” wrote Hearn.
Earlier, Top Rank’s Bob Arum mentioned that Inoue’s next bout would likely be against IBF mandatory challenger Sam Goodman (19-0, 8 KOs) on December 24 in Tokyo, Japan.
On September 3, Naoya Inoue defeated TJ Doheny by technical knockout in the 7th round to successfully defend his undisputed champion status.
