Canelo Reveals When He Will Return to the Ring

WBA, WBC, and WBO super middleweight champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (62–2–2, 39 KOs) shared with Ready to Fight when fans can expect to see him back in the ring.

“I love fighting twice a year — in March and September. That’s my plan for this year as well. I don’t know the names of my opponents yet, but we’ll figure that out.

I don’t want to talk about specific names, but I love boxing. I’m still hungry. And I love what I do,” Canelo said.

Last year, Alvarez fought twice: in May, he defeated Jaime Munguia, and in September, he overcame Edgar Berlanga. The most likely next opponent for the Mexican star is IBF super middleweight champion William Scull.

Recently, Canelo also hinted at a potential fight against WBA junior middleweight champion Terence Crawford.
