Anthony Joshua Undergoes Surgery – Eddie Hearn

Matchroom Boxing head Eddie Hearn has confirmed that former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs) has undergone successful surgery.

He’s already had the operation (on his elbow), and it went very well. He’s currently in rehab. I think in about six weeks he’ll be able to punch properly again, which lines us up for a fight in September, October, or November.

That gives us a chance to see what happens in the Dubois vs. Usyk fight. It gives us a chance to see whether Mr. Fury ever returns — and maybe something else. But he’ll definitely be back in the ring this year, and he’s looking forward to it,” Hearn stated.

Anthony Joshua last fought in September, when he was knocked out in the fifth round by IBF champion Daniel Dubois.
