Al-Sheikh Eyes Benavides for Undisputed Clash in Surprise Turn

As reported by insider Michael Benson, Turki Al-Sheikh is keen on organizing a fight between David Benavides (28-0, 24 KOs) and the winner of the clash for the light heavyweight (up to 175 lbs) undisputed world champion title between the holder of the WBO, WBC, and IBF titles, Artur Beterbiev (20-0, 20 KOs), and the WBA and IBO champion, Dmitry Bivol (22-0, 11 KOs).

He believes that this is more feasible than a bout between David and the super middleweight (up to 168 lbs) undisputed champion, Saúl "Canelo" Álvarez (60-2-2, 39 KOs).

In the Beterbiev vs. Bivol fight, scheduled for June 1st, a rematch clause is included, but Turki Al-Sheikh is ready to arrange a fight with Benavides between the two matches.

It has also been revealed that the undercard of Beterbiev vs. Bivol will feature two top fights: Filip Hrgovic (17-0, 14 KOs) against Daniel Dubois (20-2, 19 KOs) and Deontay Wilder (43-3-1, 42 KOs) against Zhilei Zhang (26-2-1, 21 KOs).
