Usyk May Disrupt Gervonta and Benavidez’s Plans

ESPN insider and journalist Salvador Rodriguez has revealed details about the upcoming fights for WBA Lightweight Champion Gervonta Davis (30-0, 28 KOs) and interim WBC Super Middleweight Champion David Benavidez (29-0, 24 KOs).

According to Rodriguez, the fighters are set to share another joint event scheduled for December 21. Gervonta Davis is expected to face Lamont Roach (25-1-1, 10 KOs), while Benavidez will take on Jesse Hart (31-3, 25 KOs).

However, the event’s date may change, as the highly anticipated rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury is slated for the same day, potentially impacting PPV sales.

David Benavidez recently confirmed that Hart will indeed be his next opponent.

Davis and Benavidez already headlined a joint show on June 15 in Las Vegas, USA. On that night, Davis delivered Frank Martin (18-1, 12 KOs) his first career loss by an 8th-round knockout, while Benavidez defeated Oleksandr Gvozdyk (20-2, 16 KOs) by unanimous decision.
