Former UFC champion Conor McGregor shared details about his negotiations with two-time undisputed boxing champion Terence Crawford. According to Conor, they couldn’t come to an agreement, but he revealed some of the conditions they discussed.
“Crawford is very skilled and has a wrestling background as well. I’ve already boxed against elite boxers, and I’m the best boxer in MMA. You know what I mean? I generate the most power. We were talking about a two-fight deal.
My manager called him while I was present, then I took the phone and said: ‘Crawford, we’re discussing our fights. A two-fight deal—first MMA, then boxing. I know you’ve got a lot of wrestling experience and balls like a Bengal tiger. We’re talking about hundreds of millions of dollars.’
He responded, ‘I don’t like the idea of taking punches from Conor McGregor.’ That’s what he said. We have to respect that,” McGregor stated.
Terence Crawford now has 10 days to negotiate a fight against Sebastian Fundora, with multiple belts in the super welterweight division on the line.
