"It's My Dream": Turki Aspires to Give Klitschko a Historic Title Shot

Turki Alalshikh, Chairman of Saudi Arabia's General Entertainment Authority, revealed his dream of organizing a comeback fight for former unified heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko.

"The outcome of the fight between Tyson [Fury] and Usyk has many implications. One is Daniel Dubois. Another is Anthony Joshua. But there’s also a third option.

I dream of making this fight happen to give Klitschko the chance to become the oldest heavyweight champion in history, if he agrees.", said Turki.

Ariël Helwani: "Wladimir Klitschko?"

Ade Oladipo: "Wladimir, yes. To break Foreman’s record."

Turki: "Yes, to give him the chance."

Helwani: "He’s 48, turning 49 on May 25."

Turki: "That’s perfect."

Helwani: "Perfect... And who would he fight?"

Oladipo: "Dubois?"

Turki: "Of course, he won’t fight Usyk if he wins because they are both heroes of Ukraine. They won’t fight each other."

Oladipo: "Okay, what about a rematch with Fury? It was supposed to happen but didn’t."

Turki: "That’s a dream. Many in Fury’s camp want him to queue up again. Everyone has wanted to see Klitschko return since 2015, and Joshua against Fury would be the biggest fight in British history. Of course, Dubois also deserves this chance. Let’s see what happens."

Previously, it was reported that Klitschko was in talks with Daniel Dubois for an IBF title fight. Currently, the record for the oldest heavyweight champion belongs to George Foreman, who claimed the title at the age of 46 years and 170 days.
