Turki Alalshikh, head of the General Entertainment Authority of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, announced plans to speak with former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury about his retirement decision.
“First of all, that decision should be made by the fighter himself. Of course, as a boxing fan, I don’t like it. We want to see Tyson in a few more big fights, but I understand his situation.
You never know—such a decision might change over time… I will support him, and we will discuss it. I’ll give him some time to be with his family, and then we can talk,” Turki told talkSPORT.
Recall that on January 13, Tyson Fury announced his retirement from professional boxing. His last opponent was heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (23–0, 14 KOs), to whom he lost on May 18 and December 21, 2024. Fury’s overall record stands at 34 wins (24 by KO), 2 losses, and 1 draw.
