Top Rank’s Chief Operating Officer, Brad Jacobs, has weighed in on Anthony Joshua’s repeated calls for a fight with Tyson Fury—a matchup both Joshua and his promoter Eddie Hearn have been vocal about.
“Tyson looks happy in retirement, but he’s been here before. Nobody truly knows what’s going on in Tyson’s head—except for Tyson himself, of course.
I think a fight with Anthony Joshua could bring him out of retirement if the circumstances are right and he feels confident.
If not, God bless him—he’s earned everything he has. But I do believe the fight has real potential. What will actually happen? Nobody knows. Tyson has always been unpredictable, and honestly, it wouldn’t surprise me if he pulls off another shocking twist.” – said Jacobs.
Tyson Fury officially announced his retirement in early 2025 following back-to-back defeats to Oleksandr Usyk.
