Smith Will Not Participate in the 5 vs 5 Promoter Battle

Analyst Paul Smith has confirmed that his brother, British light heavyweight Callum Smith (29-2, 21 KOs), will not participate in the 5 vs 5 tournament between Matchroom and Queensberry. The reason is that Callum will be celebrating his wedding on the same day.

The 5 vs 5 tournament between Matchroom and Queensberry is scheduled to take place on June 1st, as part of the undercard for the fight for the undisputed light heavyweight world championship between the holder of the WBO, WBC, and IBF titles, Artur Beterbiev (20-0, 20 KOs), and the WBA and IBO champion, Dmitry Bivol (22-0, 11 KOs). On March 24th, the parties confirmed the weight categories.

Callum Smith last entered the ring in January against Artur Beterbiev and lost by technical knockout.
