Skull – New IBF Champion in the Super Middleweight Division

On October 19, in Brandenburg, Germany, Cuban William Skull (23-0, 9 KOs) faced off against Russian Vladimir Shishkin (16-1, 10 KOs) in a 12-round bout for the IBF world title in the super middleweight division (up to 76.2 kg). The fight went the full distance and ended with Skull winning by unanimous decision — UD 12. The judges' scores were 116-113, 116-112, and 115-113.

Previously, the IBF title was held by Mexican Saúl Álvarez (62-2-2, 39 KOs), who relinquished his title defense in favor of a fight with Edgar Berlanga (22-1, 17 KOs).
