Serhii Lapin on Usyk vs. Dubois Rematch: “Stay Tuned for Updates!”

Serhii Lapin, co-founder of the Ready to Fight platform and director of unified heavyweight world champion Oleksandr Usyk’s (WBA, WBC, WBO, IBO – 23-0, 14 KOs) team, has shared a brief but intriguing update on a potential rematch between Usyk and IBF titleholder Daniel Dubois (22-2, 21 KOs).

Our Ready to Fight team is currently in negotiations with Queensberry Promotions regarding Oleksandr Usyk’s next bout. But let’s wait for the official announcement — all the details will be revealed very soon. Stay tuned!” Lapin wrote.

Earlier reports indicated that the Usyk–Dubois rematch could take place on July 12 at the iconic Wembley Stadium in London, UK. Usyk’s camp has also opened applications for sparring partners.

The first meeting between Usyk and Dubois took place in August 2023, where the Ukrainian won via ninth-round TKO.

Usyk was last seen in the ring in December, defeating Tyson Fury by unanimous decision in their blockbuster rematch.

Meanwhile, Daniel Dubois stunned the boxing world in September by knocking out fellow Brit Anthony Joshua in the fifth round. He was scheduled to defend his IBF title on February 22 against Joseph Parker, but had to withdraw due to illness.
