American boxer Ryan Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs) has shared his thoughts on a potential super fight between unified super middleweight champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (62-2-2, 39 KOs) and WBA junior middleweight champion Terence Crawford (41-0, 31 KOs).
According to early reports, the bout could take place in September. But Garcia is convinced there's no question who the dominant force would be.
"Crawford can’t beat Canelo—no chance. I can’t imagine how he could pull it off. Honestly, even in the fight with Madrimov, he didn’t look all that convincing—and Madrimov isn’t even that big of a fighter.
The thing is, Canelo has perfected his style and isn’t planning on changing it. He’s refined it to an art and always knows exactly what’s going on in the ring. I just don’t see how Terence can beat him. I don’t see it," said Garcia.
Canelo is set to return to the ring on May 3 to face William Scull in a bout for the undisputed super middleweight title.
Meanwhile, it was recently reported that Crawford will vacate his WBO interim belt and move up in weight.
