American boxer Ryan Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs) shared his thoughts on a possible rematch with WBC super lightweight champion on recess Devin Haney (31-0, 15 KOs).
“We train every day to be ready whenever Devin Haney wants us to beat him again. We already marked up his face once, and if we do it again, there won’t be any more doubts. At the weigh-in and on fight day, he was a pound heavier than me.
He’s a huge fan of P. Diddy. Ask Devin himself—he was at his house and said, ‘There’s no party like a P. Diddy party.’ That’s a fact. He and his dad were at that party,” Garcia said.
Garcia had previously denied the possibility of a rematch with Haney.
Both fighters last entered the ring on April 20 in a head-to-head bout, which ended in a split-decision victory for Ryan. However, the result was overturned due to Garcia’s failed doping test, and the boxer received a one-year suspension.
