Barrios Fight Is Perfect for Pacquiao, Says Former World Champion

Former world champion Shawn Porter shared his thoughts on the potential clash between Manny Pacquiao and WBC welterweight titleholder Mario Barrios, explaining why he sees it as a great opportunity for the Filipino legend.

What I know, without going deep into details, is this: his left hand always lands faster than his opponents’ right. And that’s not all.

Barrios is an aggressive fighter who will walk right into that left hand. So for Pacquiao, it’s pretty much the perfect matchup,” Porter said.

The fight is not yet officially confirmed, but the tentative date is July 19.
