IBF No. 3 contender, Mexican boxer Oscar Duarte, has announced that he will face American Richardson Hitchins, the reigning IBF super-lightweight champion.

According to the 29-year-old, the bout will take place on 21 February in Las Vegas, USA.

“I’m fighting February 21 in Vegas for the world title against Richardson Hitchins,” Duarte wrote.

Earlier it was reported that this fight may land on the undercard of the showdown between Ryan Garcia and Mario Barrios.

Oscar Duarte (30-2-1, 23 KOs) is riding a four-fight winning streak. The last time the Mexican stepped through the ropes was in August, when he defeated Kenneth Sims Jr. by majority decision.

Richardson Hitchins (20-0, 8 KOs) stopped George Kambosos in the eighth round in June.
