WBC cruiserweight titleholder Badou Jack shared his thoughts on the fight between influencer-boxer Jake Paul and former world champion Anthony Joshua.
Like many other respected voices in boxing, the 42-year-old Swede is convinced Joshua will have no issues with his opponent, predicting a quick win for the Brit.
“Jake Paul is a money magnet right now, so everyone wants to fight him. I think Jake Paul is definitely good for the sport. He creates big events and supports women’s boxing.
But it’s easy money. It’s a simple fight for big money. You have to give him credit for stepping in with AJ. I don’t see Jake Paul lasting with AJ longer than half a round. This should be quick work.
AJ is a big name, and from a business standpoint it makes sense. For Paul’s career — it doesn’t. I wish AJ luck and for him to calmly get the job done,” Jack said.
The bout between Jake Paul (12-1, 7 KOs) and Anthony Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs) is scheduled for December 19 in Miami, USA. The event will be broadcast on Netflix.
