Michael Hunter Announces New Opponent

35-year-old American heavyweight boxer Michael Hunter (22-1-2, 16 KOs) has announced a fight against Russian Artem Suslenkov (10-0, 7 KOs). The bout is set to take place on April 14 at the Humo Arena in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

On March 23, Michael Hunter secured a victory against Mexican Ignacio Esparza (23-4, 14 KOs). This match was the main event of a boxing night in Mexico. In the 4th round, Esparza withdrew from the fight due to a shoulder injury, resulting in a RTD (Referee Technical Decision) in the 4th round for Hunter.

This marks Hunter's second consecutive early victory. In his previous bout, which took place in the fall of 2023, he won by technical knockout in the 2nd round against Miguel Cubos. Prior to that, Hunter fought in 2021, ending in a draw against Jerry Forrest.
