Hearn: "I'd Be Terrified Looking at Madrimov"

Matchroom Boxing's head, Eddie Hearn, anticipates a challenging fight for Terence Crawford (40-0, 31 KOs) against Israil Madrimov (10-0-1, 7 KOs).

"Terence could lose on Saturday. I know he's a heavy favorite, but Madrimov stands against that. I can assure you that Israil is very well-prepared for this fight.

This is a very dangerous fight. If I were Terence Crawford's promoter, I'd be terrified because of this fight, looking at Madrimov and thinking, 'Damn, this guy is a real master.'

But Terence is a genius, and he's very hard to beat. I'm not saying Madrimov will easily win. What I'm saying is that this fight will be much more competitive than many expect. I think this will be the toughest fight of Crawford's career," Hearn said.

As a reminder, in the early hours of August 4 at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, USA, WBA, WBC, and WBO welterweight champion (up to 66.7 kg) Terence Crawford will move up in weight to contend for the WBA and interim WBO super welterweight titles (up to 69.9 kg) against Israil Madrimov (10-0-1, 7 KOs).

When the fighters first visited the arena, Crawford got into a verbal exchange with Eddie Hearn, who represents Madrimov. Later, Hearn challenged Crawford to a duel.
