The head of Matchroom Boxing, Eddie Hearn, has announced the next fight for "interim" IBF welterweight (up to 66,7 kg) champion Jaron Ennis (31-0, 28 KOs).
According to the promoter, it will be a mandatory defense of his title against Canadian Cody Crowley (22-0, 9 KOs).
Hearn said they want the fight to take place in Boots' hometown – Philadelphia, USA.
The tentative date is June-July.
Yesterday, April 10th, Matchroom Boxing announced signing a contract with Jaron.
The last time Jaron Ennis was in the ring was in July of the previous year against Colombian Roiman Villa (26-2, 24 KOs), winning by knockout. Cody Crowley in March of the same year won by majority decision against Abel Ramos (27-6-2, 21 KOs).
