The head of Matchroom Boxing, Eddie Hearn, has stated that he will push for a fight between WBA, WBC, and WBO welterweight (up to 66,7 kg) champion Terence Crawford (40-0, 31 KOs) and "interim" IBF champion Jaron Ennis (31-0, 28 KOs).
"I believe Boots will become undisputed at welterweight if we can make it, and at super welterweight. I think he can beat Crawford – that's the fight I'm aiming for," said Hearn.
ESPN KnockOut expert Fernando Barbosa previously mentioned a possible fight between Terence Crawford and Sergey Bogachuk (24-1, 23 KOs). Bogachuk is the "interim" WBC super welterweight champion. The last time Jaron Ennis was in the ring was in July of the previous year against Colombian Roiman Villa (26-2, 24 KOs), winning by knockout.
Yesterday, April 10th, Matchroom Boxing announced signing a contract with Jaron.
Ennis recently commented on a possible fight against Crawford.
