Eddie Hearn, the head of Matchroom Boxing, commented on the upcoming fight for the undisputed heavyweight (over 90,7 kg) world championship between WBA, WBO, IBF, and IBO titleholder Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) and WBC champion Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs).
The promoter admitted he's eagerly anticipating the event and attempted to predict the winner.
"I always hesitate to make a prediction for this fight. It's a great matchup with the undisputed heavyweight title on the line. I can't wait to get there on fight night. The Usyk vs. Fury bout is truly intriguing.
Seeing Oleksandr in camp, I think, 'He always finds a way to win.' Then I see Fury in much better shape. I've bet against Tyson so many times. I didn't think he'd beat Klitschko or Wilder. But I also bet against Usyk. I thought Joshua would beat him.
If Fury fights like he did against Wilder in their second bout: aggressive, with smart pressing, I believe he could finish Usyk early. That’s what I think now. But ask me again in Saudi Arabia, I might change my prediction. I hope Fury can pull it off. I really want him to win," said Hearn.
The fight between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury will take place on May 18th in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
