Haney Believes Garcia Will End His Career After Their Bout

In an interview with DAZN Boxing, the WBC champion at super lightweight (up to 63,5 kg), Devin Haney (31-0, 15 KOs), expressed his confidence in defeating Ryan Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs) and suggested that Ryan might retire following the loss.

"The fight with Ryan will be different. Not like the others. He always tries to rush you. And in those moments, he acts too recklessly. And if an opponent fights recklessly, it's much easier to put him on the canvas.

Why do I think he'll end his career after this fight? Because he's only interested in boxing for the money. So now, he's trying to earn as much as possible, to have all the biggest fights possible. That means he's not here to stay. After this fight, he'll make a huge pile of money. So, what's the point in staying here any longer?" said Haney.

The Haney vs. Garcia fight for the WBC title is scheduled for April 20th in New York.

On the eve, Devin and Ryan lit up the first official press conference.
