Gvozdyk Reveals Whose Victory He Desires in Beterbiev vs. Bivol Bout

Former World Champion Oleksandr Gvozdyk (20-1, 16 KOs), in a commentary for Sport-express.ua, disclosed his favorite in the upcoming fight between Dmitry Bivol (21-0, 11 KOs) and Artur Beterbiev (20-0, 20 KOs), as well as whose victory he would prefer to see.

- The vacant WBC interim light heavyweight belt is, of course, a nice prize, so to speak. However, it's no secret that you've been wanting to settle scores with Artur Beterbiev for years and reclaim your former belt. For the rematch to become a reality, not only do you need to defeat Benavides, but Beterbiev must also overcome Bivol. The fight between the Russians is scheduled for June 1st.

- I'll be servering for Beterbiev, if you can say it that way. And I believe that he is slightly the favorite in this fight.

My desire for Beterbiev's victory is very simple to explain: I lost to him, so his victory over Bivol, who is considered a very talented and strong boxer, automatically enhances my resume. I feel absolutely no sympathy or antipathy towards Beterbiev, Gvozdyk stated.

The Bivol vs. Beterbiev fight is planned for June 1st. Gvozdyk and Benavides might face off on June 15th. So far, no official confirmation of the dates for these matchups has been announced.
