Expert on Joshua vs Jake: “The pressure is on Anthony”

Former champion Johnny Nelson shared his take on the upcoming fight between influencer-turned-boxer Jake Paul and former heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua.

“The pressure is on AJ. Only one percent of one percent thinks Jake Paul has a chance — and anyone who says otherwise is lying. Most people will tune in to see Jake Paul get his ass kicked, and also to see what kind of shape AJ is in.

AJ has stumbled before: he hasn’t always looked like his best, he’s lost — and he’s been stopped. So the big question is: which AJ shows up? Even if it’s not the best version of AJ, he still has to win this fight. My worry is that AJ goes in there and underestimates Jake Paul.

It’ll be hard for AJ to see Jake Paul as a real threat, and if Jake Paul has even 15 seconds of success, AJ will get hammered for it. People say AJ wants to go out there and knock him out right away. No — it’s not that. He wants to go out there and teach him a lesson, basically punish him,” Nelson said.
