Shelly Finkel, manager of former WBC Heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder, has spoken about a potential showdown between his fighter and Cameroonian star Francis Ngannou.
“Deontay would be open to that fight next year,” Finkel said.
Earlier, Ngannou had publicly called out Wilder.
In June, Deontay Wilder (44-4-1, 43 KOs) defeated Tyrell Herndon via seventh-round TKO, snapping a stretch of four losses in five bouts.
Francis Ngannou (0-2 in boxing) last competed in PFL in October 2024, stopping Renan Ferreira. In boxing, the Cameroonian has fought twice — losing by split decision to Tyson Fury and by second-round knockout to Anthony Joshua.
