De La Hoya: "Haney Came Back and Fought at a Fair"

Golden Boy Promotions founder and CEO Oscar De La Hoya has reacted to the video of American boxer Devin Haney (31-0, 15 KOs) getting involved in a street fight.

The video, which surfaced on social media, shows the "champion on leave" throwing a punch from behind his friend, leading to a brawl. When the police sirens sounded, Devin was the first to flee the scene.

"Last week, Devin Haney came back and fought at a fair in Orange County. I don’t know if you’ve seen the full video, but you can see Devin trying to hit a civilian in front of a Ferris wheel and missing. Bro, your dream has officially turned into a nightmare," said Oscar.

Haney last fought in April, when he lost a split decision to Ryan Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs). However, the result was later ruled a no-contest due to Garcia’s positive doping test.
