David Benavidez Reacts to Upcoming Fight Against Gvozdyk

WBC "interim" super middleweight champion David Benavidez (28-0, 24 KOs) commented on the previously announced fight against Oleksandr Gvozdyk (20-1, 16 KOs).

"I am very excited to announce that I have the opportunity to fight for the WBC International title in the light heavyweight division in June," Benavidez wrote on his Instagram.

In his last fight, which took place in September of the previous year, Oleksandr Gvozdyk knocked out Isaac Rodriguez (28-5, 22 KOs) in the second round. David Benavidez, in November 2023, won by technical knockout against Demetrius Andrade (32-1, 19 KOs).
