Cruz Defeated Samarripa by Judges' Decision

On February 24th at the Caribe Royale Orlando in Orlando, USA, the IBF International Lightweight Champion (up to 61.2 kg) Andy Cruz (3-0, 1 KO) successfully defended his title in a bout against Bryan Samarripa (14-3, 5 KOs).

The fight concluded with Andy Cruz emerging victorious by a unanimous decision of the judges.

Cruz clinched the title in July 2023 with a unanimous decision victory over Juan Carlos Burgos (35-8-3, 21 KOs). That match marked the Cuban's first foray into professional boxing. In his previous fight, Samarripa secured a win by technical knockout against Giovanni de Jesus Godinez.

Eddie Hearn previously expressed opposition to a fight between Cruz and Keyshawn Davis (10-0, 7 KOs).
