Cruz Calls Romero a "Chihuahua"

25-year-old Mexican Isaac Cruz (25-2-1, 17 KOs) is preparing for a showdown against WBA regular lightweight champion (up to 63.5 kg) Rolando Romero (15-1, 13 KOs).

Isaac blasted his opponent for his performance against Gervonta Davis and comments made outside the ring:

"Against Gervonta Davis, Romero did nothing.

I'm in better shape. That's why I lasted all 12 rounds with Davis and became the second fighter whom Davis couldn't knock out in his career.

And Romero just talks and talks. We'll come to bury him, to show that he's just a talker, not a fighter. He's a real chihuahua, talking just like a chihuahua, not attacking at all," said Cruz.

Cruz will face Romero on March 30 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. In his previous fight, Rolando won due to a controversial decision to stop the fight against Ismael Barroso. Cruz won his last fight by decision against Giovanni Cabrera.
