In the early hours of May 2nd, a press conference was held for the fight between super middleweight (up to 76,2 kg) undisputed world champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (60-2-2, 39 KOs) and Jaime Munguia (43-0, 34 KOs).
The main event of the event was a verbal skirmish between Canelo and his former promoter Oscar De La Hoya, who now represents Munguia.
One of the most desired opponents for the Mexican undisputed champion, WBC interim super middleweight champion David Benavidez (28-0, 24 KOs) and former UFC champion Conor McGregor reacted to the conflict.
"Show some f***ing respect to the name of Oscar De La Hoya!" wrote David.
"I'd like to see these two participate in a bare-knuckle championship. Take off your gloves and fight, b***h!" wrote Conor.
McGregor also announced that he bought the most famous bare-knuckle promotion, Bare Knuckle.
The fight between Canelo Alvarez and Jaime Munguia will take place on May 4th in Las Vegas, USA.
