Conor Benn Lays Out Future Plans After Loss to Eubank

British super welterweight boxer Conor Benn (23-1, 14 KOs) shared his thoughts following his defeat to IBO middleweight champion Chris Eubank Jr. (35-3, 25 KOs).

Fourteen months out of the ring played a role. The lack of activity definitely had an impact. I also felt the fight was very close. I’m not going to say I won — I’ll have to watch it back. But it felt like a very close fight. Maybe I spent a little too much time on the ropes. But overall, I enjoyed it.

We always knew Chris was a good boxer. All the fighting talk beforehand — that’s just talk. He really is a good fighter. I believe I can still compete at middleweight. I’d love to have a rematch, but if that doesn’t happen, I want to drop down to welterweight and fight for the WBC title — either against Barrios or in a rematch with Eubank We’ll see what happens next,” said Benn.

As a reminder, on April 26, Chris Eubank Jr. defeated Conor Benn by unanimous decision. Full fight statistics are available via the link.
