Canelo vs. Terence Crawford: Mega-Fight to Take Place at a New Venue

The highly anticipated showdown between Saúl "Canelo" Álvarez (62-2-2, 39 KOs), the reigning WBA, WBC, and WBO super middleweight champion, and Terence Crawford (41-0, 31 KOs), the WBA junior middleweight titleholder, will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, reports The Ring.

The 65,000-seat stadium, which can expand to accommodate up to 71,835 spectators, was inaugurated in 2020 and has quickly become one of the most prestigious venues in the United States.

Allegiant Stadium has already hosted major events such as Super Bowl LVIII in February 2024 and is set to be the home of WrestleMania 41 in 2025. However, this will be the first-ever boxing event held at the venue—a historic moment for the sport.

Previously, reports confirmed that Canelo and Crawford had reached an agreement to fight in September as part of the Riyadh Season boxing series. All of Canelo’s super middleweight titles will be on the line.

Saul is scheduled to fight an interim bout in May. Potential opponents include division rival, IBF champion William Scull, or well-known influencer and boxer Jake Paul.
