“I’ll Show the World What Greatness Looks Like” – Canelo and Crawford on September Mega-Fight

Immediately following Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez’s (63-2-2, 39 KOs) win over William Scull, it was officially confirmed that the undisputed super middleweight champion will face WBA junior middleweight titleholder Terence Crawford (41-0, 31 KOs).

After a face-off, Canelo shared his thoughts on the highly anticipated September showdown in Las Vegas:

Crawford is one of the best, and I enjoy sharing the ring with fighters like that.

For me, it’s an honor. Everyone’s been asking for this fight.

Terence Crawford, meanwhile, was full of confidence and made a bold promise:

Nothing happens by accident, and there’s a reason I’m here.

I’ll show the world what greatness looks like.

Canelo did what he had to do tonight against the guy in front of him. But I’m the best.

That’s why everyone will tune in.”

Remember, on the night of May 4, Canelo defeated William Scull by unanimous decision and became the absolute world champion for the second time. Immediately after the fight, Turki Alalshikh announced a fight between Alvarez and Terence Crawford.
