The undisputed world champion in the super middleweight division (up to 76.2 kg), Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez (60-2-2, 39 KOs), commented on a possible move to the light heavyweight division (up to 79.4 kg).
"The only thing that could drive me to fight again at light heavyweight is a rematch with Bivol. That's it. I'm not obsessed with avenging the defeat. But if the opportunity arises, if we can make an agreement, I would like to have a second fight with him," said Canelo.
Saul Alvarez and Dmitry Bivol (22-0, 11 KOs) met in May 2022, where the Russian won by unanimous decision.
Canelo's next fight will be against Jaime Munguia (43-0, 34 KOs) in Las Vegas, USA.
Previously, promoter Oscar De La Hoya claimed that Canelo is worn out.
