Oscar De La Hoya, the founder of the promotional company Golden Boy, explained why Jaime Munguia (43-0, 34 KOs) should defeat Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (60-2-2, 39 KOs).
"Canelo can be beaten because he's worn out. It's natural that a fighter who has been fighting as long as he has starts to break down.
Jaime is younger, more energetic, and motivated, and he throws more punches. He has a good chin and can take a punch.
When Canelo was Munguia's age, he was a dangerous fighter. He still is, but it's like a new Ferrari versus a classic one. You can't push the classic Ferrari to the limit anymore," said De La Hoya.
The fight between Canelo and Munguia is scheduled for May 4th in Las Vegas. Oscar De La Hoya previously worked with Alvarez as a promoter, and now his client is Munguia.
