WBO interim light heavyweight champion Callum Smith has revealed who he wants to face next in the ring.
"I would like a fight against Badou Jack. That’s a fight I would take if the opportunity arose. I don’t classify myself as a full-fledged heavyweight, but I don’t classify him as one either. I think it’s definitely a fight I would consider if it could be arranged.
Bivol is the top guy in the division. We’re waiting to see what he decides about his future. He holds all the belts, so he will have several mandatory defenses.
He will take the fight that makes the most financial sense for him, whether that’s a trilogy with Beterbiev or a fight with Benavidez. He also has an IBF mandatory challenger, and I will be his WBO mandatory. He has plenty of options," Smith said.
Previously, former world champion Oleksandr Gvozdyk also called out Smith for a potential fight.
