Caleb Plant Names Three Fighters He Wants to Face

WBA interim super middleweight champion (up to 76.2 kg) Caleb Plant (23-2, 14 KOs) revealed the names of the fighters he would like to face next after his 9th-round technical knockout victory over Trevor McCumby (28-1, 21 KOs) on the night of September 15.

"In the fight against Canelo, Berlanga didn’t actually win a single round. He spent a lot of time on the defensive. I want to fight Canelo. I want to fight Berlanga. I want to fight Jermall Charlo. I think these are three big fights the boxing world wants to see, and they’re three fights I’d like to be part of," Plant said during the post-fight press conference.

Unified world champion Saúl Álvarez (62-2-2, 39 KOs) and Edgar Berlanga (22-1, 17 KOs) fought on the same card as Caleb, with Canelo winning by unanimous decision.

Jermall Charlo (33-0, 22 KOs) has not fought since November 2023, when he won a unanimous decision over José Benavidez (28-3-1, 19 KOs).
