Bohachuk Ready to Replace Tszyu Against Ortiz

Promoter Tom Loeffler says that his client, interim WBC super welterweight champion (up to 69.85 kg) Serhii Bohachuk (24-1, 23 KOs), is interested in fighting Vergil Ortiz (21-0, 21 KOs), who currently has no opponent for August 3 due to Tim Tszyu's injury.

"Serhii is in a great position as the interim WBC champion and mandatory challenger, but he is definitely interested in fighting Vergil.

He lives and trains in Los Angeles, just like Ortiz, so it would be an ideal Los Angeles showdown if it can be organized," said Loeffler.

Tszyu and Ortiz were set to meet on August 3 as part of the undercard for the Crawford vs. Madrimov fight.
