Bill Haney Says He's Done Wasting Time on Shakur

The father and trainer of WBC super lightweight champion (up to 63.5 kg) American Devin Haney (31-0, 15 KOs) has responded to WBC lightweight champion (up to 61.2 kg) Shakur Stevenson's offer to fight his son.

"Shakur hasn't made a single fight, not one real fight with anyone. Bob Arum set up his fights, not him. I would never again in my life waste my time negotiating or even talking to this guy.

He can take his energy and use it on someone else," Bill wrote on his Twitter.

Shakur previously stated he was ready to replace Ryan Garcia in a fight against Haney if the latter couldn't participate in the bout. Stevenson also mentioned that he had communicated this to Bill Haney.

In response, Bill stated that such matters should not be settled on Twitter, as it jeopardizes the confrontation against Ryan. He then publicly dismissed Shakur.
