Bill Haney Advocates for Rematch Against Ryan Garcia

Bill Haney, father and coach of WBC super lightweight (up to 63,5 kg) champion American Devin Haney (31-1, 15 KOs), says they would like a rematch against Ryan Garcia (25-1, 20 KOs), who defeated Devin in their last encounter.

"We definitely want a rematch. Devin is the WBC champion. He couldn't lose the belt because Ryan was overweight and couldn't make the limit.

We wanted the fight to happen. He had a good plan, both in and out of the ring. You can't take that away from him. I will continue to represent Devin with the same passion," said Haney.

On the night of April 21, Garcia defeated Haney by a judges' decision. Ryan became the first to knock Devin down in his professional career. Following the victory, the winner announced his intention to move to a heavier weight category.
