Benavidez’s Prediction for Joshua vs. Paul: “I 100% respect Jake”

WBC Light Heavyweight champion David Benavidez has shared who he believes is the favorite in the upcoming fight between Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul, scheduled for December 19 in Miami.
“It’s a crazy fight, if you know what I mean. I want to be as honest as possible: I 100% respect Jake Paul, but this is a very dangerous fight for him. Most likely, he’s getting knocked out. And I’m not trying to hate or say anything bad — but Anthony Joshua is Anthony Joshua. He’s a multi-time world champion, an Olympic champion.
The last time someone with limited boxing experience stepped into the ring with him, it was Ngannou — and you all saw how that ended.
Joshua agreed because it’s big money. Very big money, you understand? They’re going to make a ton of money off this fight. And I’m almost certain that’s 100% the reason he agreed,” Benavidez said.
Anthony Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs) has not fought since 2024, when he was knocked out by Daniel Dubois.
Jake Paul (12-1, 7 KOs) last fought Julio César Chávez Jr., whom he defeated by decision.
