Bob Arum, the head of Top Rank Promotions, discussed whether fans can expect a fight between his promotional company's fighters, Keyshawn Davis (10-0, 7 KOs), and the WBO junior welterweight champion (up to 63.5 kg) Teofimo Lopez (20-1, 13 KOs).
"In his fight against Pedraza, Keyshawn looked better than ever since he's been with us. It wasn't even a close fight.
I know Keyshawn wants to fight Teofimo, but I think it's too early for Keyshawn, although he surprised me on that night of boxing. He was incredibly good against an experienced fighter.
I don't think Keyshawn is ready to face Teofimo. But many of these young guys are so powerful that they aggressively take on the toughest challenges. However, I think Top Rank will find an appropriate opponent for Teofimo for the next fight," said Arum.
After defeating Pedraza, Keyshawn called out Teofimo Lopez and Emanuel Navarrete. Davis is even willing to move up from lightweight (up to 61.2 kg) to junior welterweight (up to 63.5 kg) for a fight with Lopez.
